Sumatronic was commissioned to equip the Zug Cantonal Hospital with a self-sufficient DAB+ system. With the Sumatronic repeater system, around 70 DAB radio stations can now be easily received throughout the entire building from every antenna socket.
Thanks to the independence of the DAB+ system, radio reception in the building is now guaranteed even in the event of an Internet outage, cyber attacks, line or power failures. This ensures that the radio remains available as an independent source of information even in emergency situations.
Previously, the local cable network operator provided the region and the hospital with FM radio programmes. However, he switched off his FM signals, and from then on, radio reception in the hospital was only possible with additional adapters.
Radio reception makes an important contribution to well-being. Not only, but especially people who frequently work in rooms without daylight greatly appreciate this contact with the outside world. Radio reception also supports staff mentally and helps to prevent sick days.
